Yepoda at Sephoria Milan: the coolest minimarket in the beauty world

The coolest minimarket in the beauty world has landed at Sephoria. For the much-awaited Sephoria Milan event organised by Sephora, Yepoda entrusted 23bassi with an experiential installation able to tell K-beauty in a creative, pop and immersive way. The fit-out is a reinterpretation of a typical Korean minimarket: the skincare brand’s products are displayed inside fake pastel fridges, like cold drinks or ready-to-use fruit. ‘K-BEAUTY’ neon signs, the Korean finger-heart gesture, bilingual Italian-Korean signage and baskets with fake lemons and coconuts make up a pantry of beauty.

Yepoda brings Korea to Sephoria Milan. During the much-awaited Sephoria Milan event, organised by Sephora, one of the most surprising spaces was without doubt the one created for Yepoda, the Korean skincare brand known for its clean, vegan and cruelty-free products. Yepoda entrusted 23bassi with the design of an experiential installation able to tell the K-beauty world in a creative, pop and immersive way.

Yepoda, the K-beauty with a green soul

Simona Airoldi, FEM

A Korean minimarket in a beauty key. The fit-out appears as a reinterpretation of a typical Korean minimarket, turned into a small ‘temple of beauty’ that blends Eastern visual culture, eye-catching packaging and architectural storytelling. The result is a K-beauty-themed convenience store where Yepoda products are displayed inside fake pastel fridges, as if they were cold drinks or ready-to-use fruit. A brilliant idea that immediately communicates freshness, naturalness and accessibility.

Neon, snacks and pantries of beauty. The neon signs — with wording such as ‘K-BEAUTY’ and the iconic Korean finger-heart gesture — together with the bilingual signage (Italian and Korean), immediately immerse the visitor in an urban, young and super social-friendly atmosphere. Baskets with fake lemons and coconuts evoke a real pantry of beauty, while the names of Yepoda products (‘The Glow Hero’, ‘The SPF BFF’, ‘The Mist Have’) wink at wordplay. A sinuous floor guides the visitor through the space, with an area dedicated to Korean snacks and a self-service station for iced drinks.
