A modular system of bases and plugs: Veralab and Overskin at Roma Termini

More Rhodamine, more wow, more Overskin. Veralab’s second temporary at Termini Station is a pop, modular project, based on a system of bases in painted micro-perforated sheet metal, all the same size, usable in the window, in the centre of the room or along the walls. Magnetic plastoferrite graphics allow the store to be personalised at different times of the year; the bases change colour only for Overskin’s make-up display. The heart of the system is the interchangeable plugs, which each time draw a different landscape made of risers, plays of light and window elements.

POP. A pop-up store can only be POP. Full of light, colours and shapes that attract people and draw them towards the brand’s purchase experience. The project for Veralab’s temporary store at Termini Station in Rome — the second designed for Veralab after the one two years ago, within the wider Retail Group project — is a transformable, functional model that, beyond this, combines an aesthetic and experiential value that only a brand like Veralab can provide in the beauty world.

The project. The sales structure is organised with modular elements designed and made in painted micro-perforated sheet metal. These elements are all the same size, also house the product storage, and are designed to be used in the window, in the centre of the room or along a shop’s walls. The metal structure also allows easily removable magnetic plastoferrite graphics to be applied, enabling the brand to personalise the store at different times of the year. The modular base elements are the project’s common element, and are a different colour only for the make-up display of Overskin, Veralab’s make-up brand.

The plugs. The special feature of this system lies in the plugs, true elements that can be inserted into the bases and that define the ‘landscape’ of the shop, shaping display elements, risers, plays of light and window elements that are always different and eye-catching.

The LED wall. To make the most of the temporary’s enormous communicative potential, a large LED wall was placed in the shop’s front head, where the brand can project its own content and change it at any moment. Bespoke graphics and vinyl wraps do the rest.

Jingle bells. Another important feature of the project is the Christmas fit-out that characterised it at opening. Also designed by studio 23bassi, it is marked by the constant presence of the geometric decorations the brand launched for the Veralab 2023 advent calendar: these were used both to decorate the interiors and reproposed at macro scale on the shop’s roof, made in paperboard.
