A fit-out that cancels itself out to let the images speak. In the foyer of the Triennale di Milano, a Corriere della Sera photography exhibition is suspended in space through an essential system: coloured cables and screw cable clamps. Nothing more. The ‘less is more’ philosophy here also becomes a choice of economic sustainability, and architecture turns into pure service. The unicum of the foyer becomes a crossroads of passages and exhibition routes, where the hanging panels seem to float in space and the shots remain the true protagonists, telling the story of Italy in a single day.

Suspended. The suspended fit-out changes the perception of space. The unicum of the Triennale di Milano foyer becomes a crossroads of passages and exhibition routes.
The cables. To fix the panels of the photography exhibition, cables of different colours were used, fastened with a screw cable clamp. ‘Less is more’ — and in this case it is also ‘low cost’.
Fit-out. The idea is that there is no fit-out. It is entirely at the service of the photographs on display. The fit-out serves the shots.
The theme. For five years, Corriere della Sera’s magazine has run a photo-reportage initiative on Italy. On one specific day, 14 January, dozens of photographers scatter to the four corners of the country to capture events large and small — news, society, public life. This exhibition gathers the material published over these five years and traces an unmissable fresco of Italian society, with its excellences and its ordinary everyday life.
