Ancient crafts. The castle was restored for use as a private residence. We chose to work with methods and techniques tied to its context. Ancient things of great cultural value: stone, wood, handwork, and a great deal of time to do things properly. The restoration involved many skilled trades and took years.
The project. The work covered the castle and all its outbuildings, as well as the grounds and the creation of a new panoramic pool house. Inside, the castle houses several residential units, with many shared spaces for leisure and social life. There is also a gym and a private spa.
Details. The old is made of a thousand details the modern eye has been untrained to notice. Restorative care is built from these details, grasped as a whole.
Restoring a property. Those who build an ordinary house think of their children, perhaps their grandchildren. A castle lives far longer — for millennia; but only if it is maintained: right now.
