A polycarbonate gallery to show a new image of a historic brand. After a recent change of ownership, IVV Glassmakers needed to celebrate its new energy with an innovative stand, different from all the others. The stand at Milan’s Homi 2024 fair is a light, high-impact polycarbonate cave, made of more than 50 overlapping transparent walls. The central walls are cut along an organic curve that recalls the shape of a glass bubble at the start of its blast-furnace working. A floor and cylindrical displays in blue with copper edging, and a LED wall at the end of the route.

To show and to show oneself. IVV’s challenge was to present itself to the world straight away with new energy after a recent change of ownership. A real change of course, which it wanted to celebrate with an innovative, surprising stand, different from all the others.
A polycarbonate cave. We wanted to create a light but high-impact stand, made of more than 50 overlapping transparent walls which, with their two-dimensionality, would highlight the display columns, designed to show the product and isolate it from its context. The central walls are cut along an organic curve, which subtracts from the original volume the shape of a glass bubble at the start of its blast-furnace working. At the end of the route, at the centre, a LED wall with images linked to the brand tells the particularities of IVV products.
Display. The objects produced are placed in displays with a circular base and a vertical development, which have their own lighting inside the display cylinders to enhance the product. The floor is made of blue laminate to recall the brand’s colour. The displays are blue too, with copper edging, but the products are shown against a white background to enhance their colours and volumes.
Between Milan and Frankfurt. The pavilion was built for Milan’s Homi fair, and at the end of it was moved to the same sector fair held in Frankfurt.
