A private pool on the rooftop of a Milanese flat

A private pool on the rooftop and a second open-air living room above the Milan sky. Casa Pool Party is a tailored flat across two levels, where every element — from the entrance unit with Osborne & Little wallpaper to the wood-and-marble kitchen-TV unit — is bespoke-designed. The living area is a manifesto of designer Italian design: Camaleonda sofa by B&B, Vidun table by Magistretti, Superleggera by Gio Ponti, Nest lamp by Dilmos. Going up a spiral staircase you reach the rooftop with outdoor kitchen, bioclimatic pergola and a pool with a glass wall by Busco Wellness.

A bespoke oasis in the heart of Milan: tailored elegance in a two-level flat

In the elegant heart of Milan there is a one-of-a-kind flat: a fully personalised living project, conceived down to the smallest detail to reflect a refined, contemporary and deeply Milanese lifestyle. Spread over two levels, the home is a perfect example of bespoke design, where every element was designed and made specifically for the space that hosts it, turning every room into a sensory and aesthetic experience.

The entrance immediately introduces the tone of the whole project: you enter the home through an arch framed by a bespoke unit clad in Osborne & Little’s Mirage wallpaper, which discreetly and functionally conceals a handy storeroom and the fridge. This functional volume is not a simple cupboard but a true integrated architectural element, defining the access as a scenographic passage towards domestic intimacy.

The living area is a tribute to lightness and the art of good taste. The Camaleonda sofa by B&B Italia, with its modular, welcoming shape, stretches out on a pale wood floor, while the eye is captured by the walls clad in a spectacular botanical wallpaper. Centre stage is taken by the Vidun table, designed by Vico Magistretti for De Padova, accompanied by the iconic Superleggera chairs by Gio Ponti produced by Cassina. Above, the Nest lamp by Dilmos floats like a luminous sculpture, while the ambient light is entrusted to Flos spotlights and other scenographic sources such as Origine by Davide Groppi and Alphabet of Light by Artemide, installed in the sleeping area.

One of the most extraordinary elements of the home is precisely the sleeping area, which stands out for its ingenious flexibility. Designed to make the most of natural light and the position of the windows, the bedroom can be opened or closed via a scenographic mobile mirror curtain made by Dooor, which allows the spaces to be isolated or united as needed. At the centre, the scene is dominated by the Fluttua bed by Lago, an iconic round model that seems to float on a precious black-and-white marble floor by MarmoLove, as is the kitchen top.

The doors leading to the services area – made up of bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and laundry – were made bespoke, in iron and reeded glass, giving elegance and contemporaneity. The bathroom area is a small oasis of wellbeing: the Gessi taps, the Monotwin washbasin by Flaminia, and the furnishings by Antichità Moglia coexist in harmony with the dark tile finishes and the warmth of the parquet. An unexpected freestanding bath, set against a soft white curtain, completes the relaxing atmosphere.

All the fixed furnishings – from the kitchen to the TV unit, from the boiserie to the walk-in wardrobe – were bespoke-designed and made by LegnoArt, which makes every corner of the home perfectly integrated and studied according to the owners’ needs. The wood-and-marble kitchen, for example, blends elegantly into the living area, also becoming a TV unit, demonstrating extraordinary functional and stylistic fluidity.

Going up to the upper floor via a bespoke spiral staircase, you reach a surprising fitted terrace: a real second open-air living room, conceived as a summer extension of the home. Here there is space for an outdoor kitchen by Very Simple Kitchen, designed for convivial moments in the open air. A large bioclimatic pergola regulates light and shade, creating a protected environment open to the sky. The protagonist of the outdoors is the large LC6 Table Tube d’Avion by Cassina, flanked by the swivelling LC7 chairs by the same brand. Completing the relaxation zone, an exclusive round Trampoline sofa by Cassina and two Wave Chaise Longue loungers by Paola Lenti, perfect for enjoying the city view or relaxing beside the pool.

The pool, made by Busco Wellness, is a true masterpiece: it has a glass wall and hydromassage jets, offering moments of relaxation and wellbeing a few steps from the living room. The potted plants and carefully selected details make this terrace a perfect metropolitan refuge, elegant and informal at once.

The home is completed by a selection of vintage furniture and objects from Antichità Moglia, which add a touch of memory and character to the modern furnishing, creating a harmonious language between past and present.

This flat is not just a home, but a statement of style and design vision. Every element, from the most structural to the most decorative, was conceived to offer beauty, functionality and uniqueness. A perfect example of tailored architecture, where every detail tells a conscious choice and every space reflects the art of contemporary living in Milan.
