Casa Moonlight Shadow: a hundred square metres studied to the centimetre

With a single bespoke unit, answering all the questions of living. Casa Moonlight Shadow is a Milanese three-room flat under a hundred square metres, studied to the centimetre: in less than 100 sqm there is room for three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large walk-in wardrobe and an eat-in kitchen, enhanced by a dual aspect. The finishes play on contrast: Hungarian-herringbone oak floor paired with ceramic azulejos, white Balocchi taps and black shower enclosures. The guest bathroom, hidden in the boiserie, is the coup de théâtre: a play of mirrors and lights that amplifies the room’s real depth.

Spaces. The connection between living area and kitchen enhances the flat’s dual aspect. The spaces are measured, studied to the centimetre; in barely 100 square metres there are 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large walk-in wardrobe and an eat-in kitchen. All with a spacious, stylish living room.

Finishes. Everything is refined. Starting from the combination of oak floors laid in Hungarian herringbone with ceramic azulejos. The kitchen and bathroom tiles, white and simple, but with a sophisticated taste given the format. The taps in the bathrooms are all made with the white Balocchi, while the shower enclosures, in contrast, are black. The finishes of all the bespoke furnishings were designed for contrast and dialogue between colours and textures. Right down to the furniture handles.

Lights. Structural lights alternate with decorative elements to create atmosphere zones. The lighting of the central part of the living room, which distributes the entrance-kitchen-sleeping-area axis, is the result of an integration between false ceilings and furnishing. The grazing light enhances the texture of the finish laminates and the dark colour.

Bathrooms. There are 3 bathrooms, answering precise needs of the owners. Two are similar in structure but different in colour impact thanks to the different laying of the azulejos. The third bathroom, for guests, is theatrical and striking. Hidden in the boiserie, it combines a play of mirrors and lights with the use of the cladding material, creating an unthinkable depth compared with the real dimensions.

The accessories and details. Touches of style, chosen with the client, complete the picture: the two living-room sideboards, the sofa and the armchair, dialogue with the designer paintings.
