About us

An architecture and interior design studio.

A workshop of ideas, combining precision and experimentation. We renovate and furnish homes. We design buildings, retail spaces, installations, and we love communicating the value of architecture at its best.

Your space should resemble you.

When you design your home, make sure it is beautiful for you, and others will admire it. If instead you were to design it to be admired, the house would inhabit you: it would condition you, make you feel out of place.

When you design your home, make sure it’s beautiful and functional for you—and others will admire it because it reflects who you are. If, on the other hand, you designed it to be admired, the house would end up living in you: it would influence you and make you feel out of place.

When designing a retail space—whether it’s a flagship store or a small corner—you should start with two very simple questions: Who is the target audience, and what do I want this space to convey about my brand? The rest will be a wonderful adventure that we’ll build together.

Your home will resemble you.

You’ll live there. It shouldn’t just be beautiful—it has to be your kind of beauty: the backdrop for your story.

In this way, it will be your nest, but also your temple of modern well-being, providing a home for your emotions and those of your loved ones.

Your retail space will tell the story of your brand and convey its values. It will serve as the ideal launch pad for your latest product and provide support and structure for your multichannel communication.

and Andrea

Francesca Mattiangeli

Associate Architect

Together with Chiara at the head of this architecture studio with quirky traits, Andrea handles construction sites and building processes with passion and care. He is responsible for the studio’s IT development, studies ancient materials, and knows everything about new ones. He remains the studio’s rendering black belt, and after the VR headset and 3D printer, he has now brought a laser cutter into the 23bassi stable. The quintessential nerd architect, it is said he can still disassemble a PC and do a couple of soldering jobs.

Monica Maida

Product Manager

With her quick response and readiness to solve any problem, she handles everything related to the 23Bassi Home world. Available and patient, thanks to her eye for detail and attention to the customer, she makes the purchasing experience simple and immediate. She manages to bring order to the studio while at the same time bringing plenty of energy and vitality. Always on the move, if she’s not at the computer writing emails, she’s certainly out with her family on a day trip.

Chiara Miella

Architect

Creative and dynamic, Chiara firmly believes that every project is an opportunity to give shape to a unique microcosm. A graduate in Architecture, her mission is to explore the infinite possibilities of living to create spaces with a vibrant and ever-changing soul. In interior design, she combines aesthetics and vivacity, seeking harmony between materials and design; in retail, she translates the brand’s vision into spaces capable of powerfully communicating its identity. Her habitat? The streets of Milan, where she constantly walks in search of new inspiration and design visions.

Lana Roscini

Chief Happiness Officer

Creative in welcoming and tireless in quality control of deliveries, she is our Chief Happiness Officer. Sweet, lively, dynamic and decidedly not quiet, she is responsible for keeping team morale high and turning every entrance to the studio into a small event. She learns at the speed of light and, although she may raise her voice a little, she is an irreplaceable part of the team.

Francesca Vigone

Architect

Architect graduated from Politecnico di Milano, with a Master’s in Exhibition Design and experience in Bioarchitecture. She sees Architecture as a gesture of generosity and designs spaces as garments tailored to those who inhabit them, balancing functionality and emotion. In her work, she loves to dare and experiment with materials, colors, and textures, with a declared passion for 1970s aesthetics and eccentric solutions. When not in the studio, she recharges through nature and travels that immerse her in new cultures, drawing fresh inspiration for every project

Chiara Zetti

Architect

An architect and true Milanese trained at the Politecnico, Chiara rediscovered her love for design through the lens of photography. This experience shaped her ability to shift perspectives and embrace mistakes as creative resources. She follows the “from the spoon to the city” dogma, applying it to her research on the dimension of living. From detail design to directing an entire interior, she tackles every scale with the same determination!

Officially elected as the “Studio Concierge,” between projects, she manages package sorting and turns every delivery into a small event.

Irene Catalano

interior designer

Degree “by the sea” at the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria and Master’s at the Polytechnic University of Milan: Irene’s journey is a bridge between sunny roots and methodological rigor. As an Interior Designer, she constantly explores new trends, driven by the conviction that space profoundly influences the psyche and quality of life. She loves creating environments that tell stories and evoke authentic emotions, always bringing curiosity and vision into play.

Within the studio, she is a tireless creative mind, but also the “official receptionist”: her inclination for listening always begins with the ring of a telephone.

Matilde Scarpa

Architect

From the Venetian calli to the Milanese design districts. After earning a bachelor’s degree at IUAV in Venice, she chose Politecnico di Milano to specialize in Interior and Retail Design.

Her design signature? An obsession with precision and a meticulous sense of order that leaves nothing to chance. She loves to “get her shoes dirty” on site and touch every material firsthand, following the project and her clients through every phase: from structural rough work to the most meticulous furnishing detail.

This millimetric dedication is not limited to construction sites: it is said that her true work of art is the studio pantry, which she keeps in such perfect order that even the coffee capsules look like a design catalog.

When she’s not busy organizing shelves or “stealing” inspiration with her eyes during her travels, you’ll probably find her doing sports.

Warning: If you have a dog, know that her heart already belongs to Matilde.

Martina Natale

Architect

After gaining an international perspective by collaborating on large-scale projects, Martina chose to dedicate her talent to her home city of Milan, specializing in interior architecture. Her experience spans effortlessly across residential, retail, contract, and fashion sectors, which she approaches with technical rigor and a strong coordination ability.

Her approach is distinguished by contagious cheerfulness: empathetic, always active, and consistently in good spirits, she transforms the client relationship into a dynamic and light-hearted dialogue—it is not uncommon, in fact, to hear her humming in the studio while translating complexity into creative solutions. Martina never fails to incorporate her passion for plants into her spaces, understood as living architectural elements; when she is not busy on construction sites or at the computer, she can almost certainly be found trekking in the mountains, recharging in nature.

The result is environments that combine technical precision and residential well-being, vibrant spaces that reflect her drive and a constant pursuit of balance and vitality.

Elisa Belotti

interior designer

Passionate about spaces, travel, and new perspectives, she experiences design as a way of reading and interpreting the world. After graduating in Interior Design and completing a Master’s in Interior at Politecnico di Milano, she developed a design approach sensitive to emotions, cultures, and the stories that every space can tell.
Curious by nature, she finds in travel a continuous source of inspiration, capable of broadening her perspective and enriching her design research. For her, sport represents a moment of freedom and connection with herself: a mental space in which to find balance and let new ideas take shape.

Anna Skoula

architect and interior designer

Born on the Greek island of Crete, she grew up to become an architect with a passion for travel and discovering new cultures and ways of life. After several periods of study in Portugal and Italy, she moved to Milan to attend the Master in Interior Design at the Politecnico. Passionate about collecting pencils from around the world with which she designs interior spaces with a luxurious touch.

Chiara Frigerio

Associate Architect

A graduate of Politecnico di Milano, she began her career in structural engineering and conservative restoration. Over time, she has realized that what she does best and is most passionate about is listening to stories—those that every new project brings with it, dreams, desires, promises, and expectations to transform into walls and colors. Chiara handles communication and the Blog for 23Bassi, and to relax, she goes hunting for showrooms with clients. If you don’t have clear ideas after talking to her, you certainly will.
